Colorectal Surgeon

Loading reviews…

Dr. Aris Plastiras is a colorectal surgeon whose work focuses on the surgical treatment of cancer, with particular expertise in minimally invasive and robotic techniques. He guides patients through each stage of care, helping them understand their diagnosis, consider their options and prepare for follow-up after treatment.

His approach starts with a clear principle: an operation should be recommended only when it is the most appropriate option for the patient. Treatment decisions are informed by current medical evidence and international guidelines, while taking into account each person’s individual circumstances. Open discussion is central to this process, enabling patients to make informed decisions in partnership with their doctor.

Dr. Plastiras trained in Greece and the United Kingdom, with additional specialist training in colorectal, minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He has also taught and examined medical students at King’s College London, where he was recognized for his contribution to teaching. He continues to develop his clinical knowledge in line with advances in surgical oncology.

He is currently a Surgical Oncologist at Athens Medical Center and a Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology at G.A.O.N.A. “Agios Savvas.”
